A Fruitful Exhibition: Banana Arts
The Banana Arts Exhibition is an art project initiated, hosted, and organized by a group of students from Beijing City International School (BCIS). Banana Arts, which has become a tradition at BCIS, is held annually by a Group of Grade 11 students that are passionate about art. With such motivation, they provide a platform for all students to freely share their own artworks and appreciate those from others.
The exhibition last year was held at the BCIS Early Childhood Center. Over 300 art pieces were displayed over two days. Although many of these works came from students at BCIS, more than 50 pieces were created by students from other schools all around China. This year, we are taking the exhibition to Art Depot located in the renowned 798 art district here in Beijing. We will continue to display art from students in schools all around China, as well as around the world.
The exhibition is open to the public and many of the pieces will be entered into a silent auction, with the money being donated to the Migrant Children’s Foundation. We hope that you will join us in celebrating this spectacular event and support migrant children in need.
