A Challenge Now, an Opportunity for Life Beijing City International School is an IB (International Baccalaureate) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP) to students from over 50 nationalities. IB students are eagerly sought after by many top universities around the world, and are well-recognized by these universities as being stronger than other students in terms of breadth of knowledge, critical thinking, creativity, self-management and communications. BCIS has been offering Scholarship Programme for the past 3 years. The Scholarship Programme is designed to allow students with strong academic performance to have access to an outstanding educational opportunity. Application is open to ambitious and international-minded students to enter G10 and G11. A limited number of scholarships will be awarded every year based on a thorough assessment through examinations, recommendations, and interviews. The scholarship will be renewed annually until the student completes the IB Diploma Programme in G12, subject to an annual evaluation of the student’s performance. BCIS 2010/11 Scholarship Programme Top Scholarship – 100% Tuition Waiver Level II Scholarship – 75% Tuition Waiver Level III Scholarship – 50% Tuition Waiver Applicable to Grade 10 and Grade 11 students entering the with strong academic performance
The award of the scholarship will be based on a thorough evaluation of Written examinations Panel interview with the Scholarship Committee Past school records and public examination results (if applicable) Letter of reference Written Examinations consist of Mathematics exam (1 hour) English exam (1 hour) Essay (1 hour) Chinese exam (1 hour) (for Chinese speakers only)
