ES Winter Assembly Warms Hearts

20171208 ES Winter Assembly-banner

Our Elementary School (ES) students recently captivated the crowds with their amazing voices and performances at this year’s Winter Assembly. All students from Grades 1-5 proudly took to the stage and sang their hearts out, receiving great applause from their parents, teachers, and peers. Focusing on the Festive season, each grade level sang relevant songs. Grade 1 tackled “If I Could Fly Like a Snowflake” and “I Want to Be an Elf.” Grade 2 did “Winter Fun” and “Winter Walk,” two songs that have similar titles, but are totally different. Grade 3 did “Parade of the Wooden Soldier” and the deliciously named “Blue Smoothie.” Grade 4 did “Sing Your Song” and “Snow.” Grade 5 did the very hypnotic and rhythmic “Catch the Rhythm” and “Rhythm of the Rain.” The ES Choir, which consists of students from different grade levels, also stepped into the spotlight to sing “We Share This World” and “Hark, Hear the Bells.” For the grand finale, all Elementary School students gathered together on stage for a raucous rendition of the very catchy song, “Reach,” which left many in the audience humming the chorus after the song finished. Another well job done to the students, teachers, especially the Music Teachers, Ms. Chen and Mr. Ellis, and everyone involved!
