BCIS Sports

This is the third year that Beijing City International School (BCIS) has been a full member of two sports conferences: the International Schools Athletic Conference (ISAC) which is across Beijing and Tianjin and the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS) which covers all of China and Mongolia.

BCIS has come a long way in its short history with conference sports. Not only do we produce teams in each category, but we produce quality teams. For two years in a row the BCIS Under 19 boys soccer team has won both the ISAC and ACAMIS soccer titles. Last school year our girls won the ISAC basketball title while the boys won the ACAMIS basketball title. We are looking forward to some great action in this school year.

This is the first year for the BCIS initiated “Junior ISAC”. We are very excited to have 5 other International Schools equally excited about giving our Under 11 and Under 9 students some new opportunities. These kids will compete in seasons and will have culminating tournaments at the end of each season.

BCIS has some great Under 11 action in a number of sports including soccer, handball and badminton. This will be the third year in a row that BCIS will be hosting the ISAC elementary badminton tournament playing host to 200 athletes from Beijing and Tianjin.

The BCIS swim team will be competing in a number of meets this year in Beijing and we are looking at meets in Nanjing and Thailand for the last season. The BCIS swim team is now training 3 days a week with the Dragonfire coaches in preparation for the ISAC and ACAMIS swim meets later this year.
