At BCIS emphasis is placed on encouraging students to explore across the disciplines, through integrated units of inquiry in the PYP, interdisciplinary activities in the MYP, and Theory of Knowledge in the DP. These links enable students to transfer skills and knowledge, to develop creative thinking skills, and to approach problem solving from a wide variety of perspectives. In the MYP, for example, students explore issues such as global warming or conflict resolution through the sciences, humanities, mathematics and the arts. In the DP students explore, for example, ethical issues across a range of knowledge areas.
