The Middle School years are an important time in a child’s development, a time that is full of potential and opportunity. At BCIS Middle School we take care of all our students, we listen to them, respect them and engage them in authentic learning experiences that meet their individual needs today and prepare them for a promising future. At BCIS we believe that all our students will learn, grow and develop into knowledgeable, reflective and principled individuals.

We offer the widely acclaimed, academically rigorous IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) that builds on the Elementary School’s Primary Years Programme and prepares students for the Diploma Programme. The MYP is a broad, balanced international programme that engages students through inquiry and challenges them to apply their learning in real-life contexts.

BCIS Middle School teachers are recruited from around the world to support our students as they grow academically, socially and emotionally. Our teachers recognise the importance of home-school partnerships and work with our families to guide our Middle School students in making wise and healthy choices.

I am very proud of our school, our teachers and our students. BCIS is a positive, energetic community, we have a wonderful campus and our students have countless opportunities to excel and step outside their comfort zones both within and beyond the curriculum.
