On 15th January, seven Beijing City International School (BCIS) Roots & Shoots members and three officers from the Jane Goodall Institute in China appeared at the annual BCIS Temple Fair filled with joy and excitement. As the BCIS conservation group had previously raised more than RMB 1,100 during a bake sale at the Christmas Bazaar in late November, its main purpose this time was to assist the Roots & Shoots Office in China in fundraising.

The final week before the Spring Festival saw Middle and High School students at Beijing City International School (BCIS) learning about Chinese culture by creating and building traditional Chinese arts and crafts, such as paper cuts, kites, line drawing, tie dying, Chinese knots, and fan painting.

On Thursday 19th January, just before the Chinese Spring Festival break, elementary school students at Beijing City International School (BCIS) put on a show for teachers and parents at their annual Chinese New Year Assembly.
