After the first taste of driving in a go-kart when I was 6 years old, my dream has always been about Formula racing, and becoming a professional car racer. I participated in many F4 car races, now I’m taking a break from it and am back to college in Florida. I’m originally from Bahrain, I enjoyed the time I spent in BCIS, it’s a such diverse and welcoming community.

Small chip powering the technology world—SoC Physical Design Engineer at Apple

Living in San Diego, I’m an SoC Physical Design Engineer at Apple. After obtained my BS and MS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, I started my career by designing the graphics cards for Nvidia. Now, my main field is chip design, specifically the process of “timing closure”.

Deciphering the world through bottled poetry —The story between a philosopher and his wines

I have been working as a wine dealer for the past five years, own a natural wine import business and am living in Beijing. After graduating from Boston College, I got my philosophy degree and was deeply attracted by French wine, so I decided to come back and started my wine business. Recently, I started my new adventure, a bistro restaurant which you are welcome to sample.

Researcher at CERN, Particle Physics PhD candidate in Oxford

BCIS Class of 2015 

I’m currently completing my PhD degree in Particle Physics at the University of Oxford. Upon receiving my PhD degree, I plan to work as a research associate at the Glasgow ATLAS group. My favorite research focus is the Higgs Boson, I’m working as a member of the group working on the measurement of the Higgs Boson’s mass through the ATLAS experiments in CERN.

A chemical biologist studying enzymes in MIT lab

BCIS Class of 2017

After graduating from Vassar College in 2021, I decided to dive deeper in chemistry. Right now, I’m a PhD candidate in MIT’s Chemistry program. As a chemical biologist, my current research at Professor Catherine L. Drennan’s lab primarily focuses on enzymes in bacteria that live on an aquatic plant called hydrilla.

Breaking stereotypes — a playful engineer, compassionate animal lover, and tennis player

I completed my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, minor in robotics at Georgia Tech in 2020, and decided to shift my major into computer science. Now I’m a graduate student studying at Dartmouth College. This fall, I’m starting a new intern job at Tesla in manufacturing IT, where they aim to advance the Gigafactory Texas to an industry 4.0 smart factory.

To revolutionize the way we power the skies—And Battery Aero

After completing my MBA and MS degree in Environment and Resources at Stanford University, I was awarded the “Stanford Impact Founder Fellowship” for ecopreneurship. Currently I’m the cofounder of And Battery Aero, which aims to address the environmental costs of the transportation industry by developing novel battery systems to decarbonize heavy transportation, starting with aviation.
