Sunshine, laughter, and a spirit of celebration filled the air as BCIS marked a major milestone—its 20th anniversary—with a Spring in the City event like no other. Centered around the theme “My 20 BCIS Memories,” this year’s celebration transformed the campus into a vibrant living museum of stories, milestones, and shared experiences. From cherished moments of the past to bright visions of the future, the day was a joyful tribute to all that makes BCIS a place to remember.

As families entered the campus, they were welcomed by a striking centerpiece: the “Memory House,” built from the smiling faces of students past and present. This powerful visual display was a reminder of the thousands of lives shaped by the school over two decades.

Just beyond, the “BCIS Milestone Wall” stretched down the elementary school hallway, guiding visitors through key moments in the school’s history—founding events, heartfelt graduation ceremonies, alumni achievements, and global adventures. From the opening of a new campus to graduates flying aircrafts and studying at Harvard, each photo and story reflected the school’s spirit of growth, ambition, and possibility.

In the heart of the campus, the iconic ginkgo tree stood newly adorned—an enduring symbol of BCIS’s roots and aspirations. Nearby, the original “Time Capsule,” sealed 100 days after the school’s founding, was on display once more, now inviting fresh wishes and dreams for the decades ahead.

Outside, Grade 9 students led the way with a dynamic art installation titled “My 20 Years with BCIS.” Their imaginative creations captured not only the school’s evolution but also the unique creativity that defines student life here. Alongside this display, the “Alumni Showcase” featured stories and keepsakes from graduates across generations—each one a thread in the rich fabric of the BCIS community.

While moments of reflection highlighted the past, the fair itself buzzed with energy and joy. Student-, alumni-, and teacher-produced short films brought treasured memories to life on the big screen. At the “Mailbox to the Future,” children sent sunny snapshots of themselves to their future selves, while in the Phone Booth, young voices left messages of love and hope: “BFFs forever!”

One of the most popular attractions was the “BCIS Pop-Up Shop,” where visitors eagerly lined up for school-themed merchandise—especially the beloved mascot, LeLe, in plush form.

On the sports field, the fun continued with a full-scale playground of epic proportions. Water slides, ball pits, and building zones turned the area into a hub of laughter and activity. The sounds of splashing, cheering, and collaboration echoed across campus as students—and more than a few adults—reveled in the spirit of play.

Art and creativity, long at the heart of BCIS, took center stage once again as a longtime friend of the school and renowned Spanish artists returned to lead a collaborative mural project in the lower plaza. Students, parents, and teachers painted side by side to create a colorful, expressive piece—a blend of celebrating and capturing a moment in time. Even the youngest artists joined in, adding their touches to this memorable work of collective expression.

The main stage came alive throughout the afternoon with a series of performances: joyful kindergarten songs, energetic student bands, and a wide array of acts that filled the air with music, dance, and vitality. Each performance was a celebration of talent, unity, and the joyous spirit of spring.

A deep commitment to giving back has always been central to BCIS, and the Spring Fair reflected this through a bustling charity market. Students, parents, teachers, and alumni came together to run stalls selling handmade crafts, creative projects, and homemade goodies—all to raise funds for worthy causes.

Even those unable to attend in person were included through a special online memory game, where users could select from 20 iconic BCIS moments to create a personalized memory page—spreading the spirit of the fair far and wide.

The “BCIS 20 Memories” celebration beautifully brought two decades of stories to life. But the true magic of the day lay in the laughter, conversations, and connections shared under the spring sun. As golden light bathed the campus and the day drew to a close, one thing was clear: this wasn’t just a look back—it was a heartfelt promise to continue the journey, together.

Here’s to the next 20 years—and the memories still to come.
