FUN AT RITAN PARK!

Greg Choi

Recently, our Pre-Kindergarten students took their studies outside of the classroom for some fun in the sun at Ritan Park. As part of their year-long units on "Who We Are" and "Sharing the Planet," the children had an action-filled day with many activities, including a scavenger hunt to look for sticks, leaves, and flowers; PE games with their parents; and drawing what they see, hear, and feel at the park. Most importantly, according to Ms. Vanessa Ellison, Pre-Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher, the field trip was planned to get to "know our new families and Pre-K students better." In fact, each family brought some dishes and snacks to share with one another, showing true compassion and sense of how tightly knit our community is.
