AT BEIJING CITY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS
IB PYP –
· Our school guides students to take personal Action steps by embedding Service-Learning experiences in units that require initiative, goal-setting, and accountable follow-through.
· Through the PYP exhibition, learners explore responsibility by designing Action projects connected to the Sustainable Development Goals, taking ownership of outcomes and reflecting on their impact.
· Enrichment activities encourage active community engagement—partnering with local organizations, participating in service EA, and building relationships that deepen students’ understanding of real needs.
· Regular reflection and mentoring cultivate empathy, helping students recognize diverse perspectives and translate compassion into sustained, responsible Action.

IB DP and IDEATE Students Engage in CAS Experiences — Wellbeing and Beyond
- IBDP and IDEATE students actively participate in Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) experiences tailored to enhance wellbeing, resilience, and community connection.
- Emphasis on holistic growth through balanced engagement in mental, physical, and social wellbeing initiatives.
Students document and reflect on their experiences while building on their portfolio through development of goals, meaningful reflections, collation of evidence and presentation of their learning progression.
IBDP and IDEAT Students Reflect on:

On defense day, students have an opportunity to present their portfolio, learning journey and talk about how the developed their Graduate profile through their engagement in CAS and beyond.
